Suicide is the second most common cause of death among young people. Three out of four young people under 25 who commit suicide are male. Despite these figures, the topic of suicide is taboo, especially among young men.
On 10 September, International Suicide Prevention Day, we broke the silence and launched a campaign in the gaming community. Instead of lecturing about suicide, we gave young gamers something they were interested in, a new game. With one difference: the game can only be played once. Because just like in real life, every player has ONE LIFE ONLY.

This game can only be played once - and just like in real life, each player has only one life. The player controls a character who loses the ground under his feet and falls deeper and deeper into the darkness of depression. The goal is to stay in the light as long as possible by catching heart-shaped balloons and avoiding the mind monsters that pull you down.
After the game ends, it cannot be restarted. Instead, the app turns into a helpline messenger that leads directly to Caritas Suicide Prevention and ensures that help is available immediately in a crisis.
Sometimes you can see when someone is in crisis and needs help. And sometimes you can draw strength from your own experiences to help others.
