Recode The Race

The future of motorsports is virtual.

Esports isn‘t a niche sport anymore. Virtual tournaments fill entire stadiums around the world and classic racing is also in the middle of a change. Porsche Motorsport sees the potential in a global virtual racing series to redefine the future of sport and attract younger target groups.
Since 2019, the motorsports icon has not only participated in the biggest virtual race series but also been organising the Porsche Esports Supercup in collaboration with iRacing, a top end simulation racing platform. Now they are going one step further: under the motto Recode the Race, they are introducing the Porsche Coanda Esports Team - the first purely virtual factory team in their 70-year motorsport history.

Recode the Race.

Anyone who tries to compare virtual and analog races will find more parallels than differences. The Recode the Race campaign tells the stories between the two worlds and introduces the team in four different episodes. Each one tells the background story of the new team members and at the same time builds a bridge between digital and analog motorsport. An overarching manifesto movie combines all four episodes into one movie to ultimately express the racing DNA of Porsche and their sim racing future.
